Comparing Buenos Aires

Here's are comparison photos from me in 2006 and Simeon E. Leland in 1950 (see post below) of the "obelisk" in Buenos Aires.



And here's one that Nicole took that lets you see the considerable increase in the use of fluorescent signs:

Yeah, the only difference I can see is the advertising. The more recent photos have a lot more billboards, etc.

I guess it makes sense that some of the "monuments" look similar to how they did 60 years ago, since they've obviously been "preserved". The surroundings have changed more than the things themselves.
